A Masters in filmmaking from San Francisco, USA, Adeel Hashmi is an actor writer, director and a performer. He comes from a family of artists. His grandfather Faiz Ahmed Faiz was a world renowned poet.

His mother Moneeza Hashmi, daughter of Faiz, headed the Pakistan Television for over 40 years. Having won numerous national and international awards, she is currently the president of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation.

His uncle, Shoaib Hashmi is a veteran playwright, actor and professor.

His aunt, Salima Hashmi and the daughter of Faiz, is a world renowned painter, writer and a human rights activist.

Adeel Hashmi is a household name in Pakistan and has appeared in countless television productions and ads. He is the winner of many awards and is one the most popular and loved faces of today’s generation. He is also a motivational speaker, a youth activist and a documentary filmmaker. His work in the Development and Social sectors is commendable. He has been instrumental in designing campaigns for internationally renowned educational and charity organizations in Pakistan. His work has helped raised funds to the tunes of millions. He is also a goodwill ambassador for several noble initiatives in Pakistan including The Children’s Literature Festival and The Environment Protection Fund.

His contribution has revolutionized the genre of humor in Pakistan.

He is a well known performer for his poetry recitation and prose rendition. His Audiobook based on the works of Allama Iqbal and Faiz was released last year. He lives in Lahore, Pakistan.
